Mike + Kaela = A Wedding!
Let Them Eat Cake!

After we made our way back, it was cake cutting time. What a beautiful wedding cake. Mike and Kaela did the traditional "feeding of the other," and were nice enough not to smear each other's faces with cake. It was sweet. So was the cake. One layer was a very rich chocolate and other a raspberry swirl. Kim had the raspberry and I had the chocolate. And now for the poetry! There were limericks, traditional rhyming, and free verse. There were funny poems and there were serious poems. There was a poem that in rhyme explained that the harpist had been "stung in the butt by a bee." (Hey, that explains why she left sort of abruptly.) The first eight or ten poems won the coveted t-shirts, but all poems were read. Well, all but the one I wrote in perl. Mike didn't think that it would have broad enough audience appeal.
